The DC Police Union also noted that a memorial fund has been set up for Sicknick and his family, many of whom live in the South River area. A GoFundMe page has been set up to take donations.
Subscribe Officer Sicknick shared a passion for the outdoors and became a member of the mountain bike unit with Capitol Police, patrolling the grounds daily, the DC Police Union wrote. His fellow officers remember him as someone they could always count on to be there and also could always bring a smile or laugh to them.

A reward of as much as $50,000 was offered by the Federal Bureau of Investigation as they announced on Thursday that it will be given to anyone who can give any information which will lead to the arrest and conviction of the suspect or suspects accused of placing suspected pipe bombs in Washington.
According to the authorities, the DC pipe bombs were found at the headquarters of the DNC or the Democratic National Committee and the RNC or the Republican National Committee on Wednesday, Forbes reported.

The FBI released a photo of the suspect who is seen wearing a mask along with a hoodie and gloves to hide his identity from any surveillance camera.

Richard Morris Barnett, an Arkansas man who was photographed lounging in House Speaker Nancy Pelosi s office, was charged with knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority; violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds; and theft of public money, property, or records, federal officials announced Friday.
If convicted, he faces a maximum penalty of one year in prison, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.
Barnett s arrest came two days after he took part in a failed insurrection attempt Wednesday in the U.S. Capitol, when a mob of President Donald Trump supporters halted the counting of the electoral votes and ransacked the Capitol building.
A GoFundMe page has been set up for the family of U.S. Capitol Police officer and South River native Brian Sicknick, who died Thursday from injuries suffered in the Washington, D.C., riot and in his honor, Gov. Phil Murphy ordered all flags lowered to half-staff on Monday.
Sicknick, 42, who served in the New Jersey Air National Guard, was one of five people to die in Wednesday s attack on the U.S. Capitol building. An officer with the U.S. Capitol Police since 2008, Sicknick served most recently in the First Responder Unit.
Police have not confirmed the circumstances of Sicknick s death.
