San Diego : , Jan 26 (IANS) Given that there is already an array of incentives for instance, a $7.5 million purse, a potential winning prize of $1.35 million, and a swanky and eclectic oceanfront locale in Southern California one wouldn t think that talented professional golfers would find anything else to prompt them to enter the Farmers Insurance Open golf this week.
Yet that is the case with the annual tournament in San Diego, set for January 28 to 31. This PGA TOUR stop where Marc Leishman of Australia arrives as defending champion never struggles to attract a stellar field, but this year the star power is even more excessive and the stage, Torrey Pines South Course, is a big reason why.
The Cape Region’s relatively decent winter weather is helping to boost project schedules for local golf course superintendents. Golf courses need constant care, but busy summer seasons force most of the bigger maintenance jobs into late fall and.
PGA sets the course
Dear Editor:
New Jersey was scheduled to host the 2022 PGA Championship, one of golf’s four sacred annual majors, at Trump Bedminster. The golf course is just west of the United States Golf Association headquarters and museum, in Far Hills.
In light of the disgraceful riot at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, the PGA of America made the right decision four days later to take away the 2022 PGA from Trump’s golf course. Donald Trump is one of the worst U.S. presidents in history and a disgrace to democracy. He deserves this loss in golf, and much more.
