Norway’s development finance institution has provided financing to a Kenyan off-grid solar energy development project.
Norfund expanded the receivable finance facility held by the financing vehicle
Brighter Life Kenya 1 (BLK1), taking the total financing facility to USD 127 million, of which Norfund provided USD 15 million.

One of Joseph R. Biden’s first actions after he was inaugurated as president was to sign an executive order ensuring protections against discrimination for LGBTQ people, and he has since signed an executive order reversing Donald Trump’s order prohibiting qualified transgender people from serving in the U.S. military. Biden’s latest action on behalf of LGBTQ right was signing a memorandum “advancing the human rights of [LGBTQI people] around the world.”
