Men s and Women s Indoor Track/Field Rank Among NCAA Division III Elite The Hope College men’s and women’s indoor track and field teams both rank among the nation’s elite in the first installment of the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association National Rating Index for NCAA Division III.
The Flying Dutchmen sit second with 216.93 points, while the Flying Dutch are third with 237.54 points. Both teams are led by head coach Kevin Cole.
The rating index is determined by teams’ national rankings in events.

FOOT HIGH: It seems that more of us than ever are running in the pandemic and it may be boosting our resistance to Covid-19.
If our lives have been defined by Covid-19 over the last year, our health has been defined by what s become known as Covid-15 a joking reference to the pounds that many people have put on while living with quarantine, working from home and generally social distancing since last March.
But for Iraj Zarrinnaal of San Jose, it s more like Covid-13.1 as in 13.1 miles considering the number of half-marathons he ran last year. Zarinnaal did 28 in all, including 17 consecutive weekends of them, on his way to running a total of 2,020 miles in 2020.

(Seguin) – Texas Lutheran first-year runner Caeli Taylor has been named the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association’s National Athlete of the Week for NCAA Division III Women’s Cross Country.
Taylor is the first TLU student-athlete to be named a National Athlete of the Week during a cross country season. TLU’s Marquis Brown was named the National Athlete of the Week for NCAA D3 Men’s Track & Field on April 4, 2017.
Taylor ran in her first collegiate cross country meet this past Saturday and won the University of St. Thomas Celt Invitational in Tomball, Texas.
The first United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) national rankings have come out and both the Mules and Jennies sit in the top-five.
The Jennies come in at number two in the country while the Mules are ranked fourth. The rankings are a point system based on season-best qualifying marks for individuals and relays. Teams earn points by their respective athletes and relays places in the national rankings.
So far this season, the Jennies have two athletes leading the country in their events. Ashlan Burton is tops in the shot put after her performance last week at the UCM Invitational and Hannah VanBuskirk leads the country in the pentathlon. VanBuskirk is also in the top-three in the 60m hurdles and the long jump. Kayla Goodwin has helped the Jennies out in the pentathlon, 60m hurdles, long and triple jumps where she ranks in the top-five in all four events.
