Beijing [China], April 25 (ANI): Despite growing pressure on China over its human rights record, the Chinese government is set to implement a new decree next month that will require all religious leaders to follow the lead of and support the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
According to the US-based broadcaster Voice of America (VOA), the official order, Measures on the Management of Religious Professionals bars the preaching and teaching by religious professionals that endangers China s national security, promote extremism or divide the country.
The decree also requires religious practitioners to resist the infiltration of foreign forces through religion or else they will be subjected to administrative sanctions and criminal charges.

China should disclose the whereabouts of Tibet’s Panchen Lama, who vanished into Chinese custody as a young boy 26 years ago, and let him meet outside observers in person, the U.S. State Department said in what Tibetans hailed as a strong show of support for their beleaguered traditions.
Tibet’s Panchen Lama, Gedhun Choekyi Nyima, was recognized on May 14, 1995 at the age of six as the 11th Panchen Lama, the reincarnation of his predecessor, the 10th Panchen Lama, who died in 1989.
The recognition by exiled Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama angered Chinese authorities, who three days later took the boy and his family into custody and then installed another boy, Gyaincain Norbu, as their own candidate in his place.

“Many public employees of CalPERS and CalSTRS are descendants of Armenian Genocide survivors and most of them had to relieve the intergenerational trauma during the recent Artsakh war, in which Turkey was heavily involved,” he said.
