SWEETWATER COUNTY Sweetwater County is now in a weather storm alert until Thursday afternoon, according to the United States National Weather Service.
Rock Springs, Green River, Flaming Gorge and east Sweetwater County can expect periods of snow with accumulations between 1-3 inches. Wind gusts of up to 50 mph are also expected, according to the NWS.
According to the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT), travel along the Interstate 80 corridor will be impacted by the storm. Snow is forecasted to fall across the state between the Utah state line all the way to Cheyenne, which will impact travel. Interstate 25 will also be impacted with snow and black ice conditions.
SWEETWATER COUNTY The United States National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a winter weather advisory from midnight tonight until noon on Thursday.
According to the advisory, Rock Springs, Green River, Flaming Gorge, and eastern Sweetwater County can expect 1-3 inches of snow. Winds are expected to reach gusts as high as 50 mph.
Residents can expect “slippery road conditions and very low visibilities due to blowing snow. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.”

“Travel along Interstate 80 may become difficult overnight,” the advisory states.
According to a video from the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT), the greatest impacts will be seen along the I80 corridor and in the South Pass area tonight and tomorrow.
