Raritan Valley Y receives grant from USA Swimming Foundation to provide free swim lessons
Raritan Valley YMCA was chosen as one of 67 from the USA Swimming Foundationâs nationwide network of swim lesson providers to receive grant money in early 2021.
The grant award will go toward Raritan Valley YMCAâs continued efforts to provide free or reduced-cost swim lessons, according to information provided by the Y.
The USA Swimming Foundation has awarded a total of $507,618 to programs across the country who will provide swim lessons to an estimated 13,800 children.
âWe are honored to be chosen for this grant,â Director of Aquatics Brian Rose said in the statement. âThe money we received will be put toward improving our our year-end goal of graduating 250 new kids from our learn to swim program.â
