Postal Employee Pleads Guilty to Stealing Medication Intended for Veterans Posted on ABINGDON, Va. – A former employee of the United States Postal Service pleaded guilty last week in United States District Court in Abingdon to stealing mail containing medication that was intended for United States Veterans, Acting United States Attorney Daniel P. Bubar announced.   Ammie Hale, 45, Raysal, West Virginia, pleaded guilty today, without a plea agreement, to all charges in the indictment against her - three counts of theft of mail by an employee of the postal service for stealing mail on February 26, 2020, July 1, 2020, and August 5, 2020; and one count of making false statements. At sentencing, Hale faces a maximum statutory penalty of up to 20 years in prison. A sentencing hearing has been scheduled for June 2, 2021, at 2:30 p.m.

Justin Allen Wetzel, pleaded guilty to sending the bomb threat through the mail. Court documents indicate Wetzel mailed a letter on April 27, 2020, to a state district court in Conroe from his cell in Littlefield. It was addressed to the 435th district court.

Bretton Howard Osborne, 29, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Sheri Polster Chappell to three years and eight months in federal prison for stalking and conspiracy to commit stalking. He was also ordered to complete 300 hours of community service. Osborne’s co-defendant, Ian Douglas McGuire, 30, of Port Charlotte, was previously sentenced to five years in federal prison for the same offenses. Osborne and McGuire have also been ordered to pay victim restitution.

LITTLE ROCK – A Russellville man pleaded guilty Wednesday to his involvement in a racketeering and narcotics conspiracy based on his role as president of a white supremacist organization. Wesley Gullett, 31, was president of New Aryan Empire (NAE), a white supremacist group founded by inmates in the Arkansas Department of Corrections. Gullett entered a guilty plea today before United States District Judge Brian S. Miller. Prosecutors alleged that from 2014 to 2016, Gullett and NAE associate Marcus Millsap repeatedly offered money to other NAE associates to kill Bruce Wayne Hurley, an individual who had purchased methamphetamine from Millsap. According to the charging document, NAE members believed Hurley had provided information about Millsap to law enforcement, and NAE members allegedly carried out other retaliatory acts against those who they believed had provided information to la
