Donald Trump has had his accounts on Facebook and Instagram blocked indefinitely after failing to condemn Washington DC violence, says Mark Zuckerberg.
CEO Mark Zuckerberg confirmed that a block would remain on the Facebook and Instagram accounts of the United States President until a peaceful transition of power is complete because the risks are “simply too great”. The shocking events of the last 24 hours clearly demonstrate that President Donald Trump intends to use his remaining time in office to undermine the peaceful and lawful transition of power to his elected successor, Joe Biden, said Zuckerberg in a post on Thursday.

Boris Johnson has unreservedly condemned Donald Trump for inspiring the dramatic assault on the Capitol building, making the British Prime Minister the first world leader to directly blame the United States President for the riot. In some of the strongest criticism of Trump by any US ally to date, Johnson told reporters at Downing Street that the outgoing US President was to blame for the extraordinary violence on Wednesday (Thursday NZ time). Insofar as he encouraged people to storm the Capitol and insofar as the President consistently cast doubt on the outcome of a free and fair election, I think that was completely wrong, Johnson said.
