A man from Merriam Village has pleaded guilty in federal court on charges surrounding sexual assault and child pornography.
Mark John Millman faced one count of sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of receiving and distributing child pornography.
Millman’s wife pleaded guilty to similar charges last month. Both are being held without bail.

Two Warrensburg residents recently pleaded guilty in federal court to stealing and possessing stolen mail.
In a release from the U.S. Attorney office of the Western District, a former contractor working for the U.S. Postal Service pleaded guilty in federal court on Thursday, May 27, to his role in a conspiracy to steal gift cards from the mail.

Brian Ruth, Sr. waived his right to a grand jury and pleaded guilty before U.S. Magistrate Judge David P. Rush to a federal information that charges him with one count of wire fraud and two counts of money laundering.
By pleading guilty today, Ruth admitted that he applied online in May and June 2020, and received three PPP loans totaling $522,765 for three separate business entities. Each of the loan applications contained materially false statements and included fraudulent supporting documents. Ruth falsely claimed his three businesses were operational and employed numerous individuals in February 2020, when in reality, the businesses had not been open or operational and did not employ any other individuals.
