A man who allegedly killed a woman outside a Louisa Street home in October was arrested in New York by the United States Marshal’s Service.
Antwan Michael McClain, 37, of 1013 Hepburn St., was arraigned on multiple charges and denied bail Dec. 15 in relation to Jimia Alston’s death. City police allege McClain fired one shot into a group of eight people outside 506 Louisa St. that killed Alston before he fled the scene.
Justin Snyder, an agent of the Williamsport Bureau of Police who handled the case, alleged in an affidavit that witnesses saw a man matching McClain’s description approach the residence. McClain allegedly fired one shot into Alston’s abdomen and fled the scene eastbound before police arrived.

Prior to officersâ arrival on Baux Mountain Rd., additional information was received indicating the gunshot victim had left the scene and could be located at the Downtown Health Plaza (1200 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr.). Officers responded to the Downtown Health Plaza and located the victim, William Antoine Foster/35/M, of 2724 Sink St., Winston-Salem, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the face. Mr. Foster was transported via ambulance to a local hospital for treatment and is in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries.  Â
Members of the Criminal Investigations Division and Violent Firearms Investigation Team (VFIT) responded and assumed investigative responsibility for this case.
