Kennedy Jr. will hold a press conference in Rochester Wednesday to unveil federal efforts to address the spike in gun violence in the city. Kennedy will be joined by members of the Rochester Police Department, Monroe County Sheriff s Office, and Monroe County District Attorney s Office, and leaders of several federal agencies, including the ATF, FBI, DEA, and United States Marshals Service. The press conference will take place at the corner of Clarissa and Garden streets, where a 31-year-old mother was shot and killed in her car in front of her young children on June 18.
