Alabama murder suspect arrested in Connecticut

A man wanted for murder in Alabama was arrested at a hotel in Connecticut on Thursday, according to a statement from the United States Marshals Service.
John Robert Thomas III, 40, was taken into custody without incident at 9:45 a.m. at the Econo Lodge in Southington
by the US Marshals Service fugitive task force and Waterbury police the statement said.
On Feb. 18, Thomas allegedly shot two victims, one in the face and one in the chest, before fleeing Alabama. The Opelika Police Department in Alabama issued an arrest warrant the next day, the statement said.

DENTON, N.C. (WTVD) A missing 14-year-old has been found alive and will be returning to North Carolina soon.
Savannah Childress, 14, was reported missing on Feb. 11 from her home in southern Davidson County. It was discovered during the investigation that she was using her school-issued computer to talk with an individual online.
The investigation revealed the same individual was talking to several other young girls in Alamance County.
A man identified as William Robert Ice, of Mercer County, Pennsylvania, took Savannah from her Denton home, according to the Davidson County Sheriff s Office.
The Davidson County Sheriff s Office obtained a warrant for first-degree kidnapping and soliciting a child by computer.

MOULTRIE, Ga. â Colquitt County deputies and U.S. Marshals arrested a man wanted in Kansas Feb. 17 at a Moultrie motel.
Michael Dale Dunn, unknown age, was arrested on Feb. 17 as a fugitive from justice. He is accused of violating parole limits in Kansas.
The Colquitt County Sheriffâs Office along with United States Marshals apprehended Dunn at the Moultrie Inn on First Avenue Southeast.Â
He was originally convicted of criminal damage to property, possession of opiates and fleeing and attempting to elude an officer.Â
He is currently incarcerated at the Colquitt County Jail. Marshals expect to move Dunn back to Kansas sometime next week after he waived extradition.
