The U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team (USWNT) is a force of power, dominating not only on the field in the World Cup championships and the Olympics but also on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and the media in general. These women have proven that, despite the U.S. being one of the only countries in the world where soccer is not the more popular sport among its citizens, women’s soccer is not only profitable, but it’s more profitable than men’s soccer. And yet, year after year, championship after championship, the women continue to be paid less than their male counterparts.
Denver The U.S. Attorney s Office for the District of Colorado announces that Eber Uriel Perez-Ramirez of Aurora, CO, was sentenced to 10.5 years in federal prison following his prior guilty plea to conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute controlled substances, in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 846.
According to the plea agreement and court documents, the defendant acted as a lieutenant in a drug trafficking organization from October of 2019 until February 12, 2020, when he was arrested by agents working with the Federal Bureau of Investigation assigned to the Denver OCDETF Strike Force. The drug trafficking organization brought to Colorado large quantities of illegal drugs from Mexico, including methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine, and fentanyl. The organization employed a network of interstate load runners, local couriers, multi-pound drug customers, and lieutenants, including the defendant, to coordinate its activities.

Marilyn Manson and his former manager Tony Ciulla have been sued by “Game of Thrones” actress Esmé Bianco for sexual assault and sexual trafficking, accusing Manson of rape and sexual battery.
The lawsuit, which was filed Friday in United States District Court for the Central District of California and obtained by TheWrap, also names Ciulla and his management company Ciulla Management, accusing them of violating human trafficking laws by bringing her from London to the U.S. by enticing her for a Manson music video and a film role that never materialized. Ciulla in February dropped Manson as a client after working with him for 25 years.

The United States District Court for the Southern District of New York has held that an insurer has a duty to defend its insured’s subsidiary in a class action lawsuit that alleges wrongful conduct that occurred prior to the parent’s acquisition of the subsidiary, rejecting the insurer’s argument that the policies’ “Related Acts” definition precluded coverage.
The insured parent company acquired the defendant real estate brokerage firm on January 1, 2017. In July 2018, a class action was filed against the real estate brokerage firm for representing both buyers and sellers in a single real estate transaction. The class action seeks damages for violations spanning from 2011 to June 10, 2019.
