Fully vaccinated Filipinos will still need to wear masks and observe physical distancing, an expert said on Monday, May 10.
Dr. Lulu Bravo, Executive Director of the Philippine Foundation for Vaccination, said in an interview with DZBB reminded those who completed their vaccination to still follow minimum health protocols such as wearing face masks and face shields, hand-washing, and observing at least one meter distance.

On Wednesday, May 5, 2021, Judge Dabney Friedrich of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia ruled that the residential eviction moratorium was unlawful as it was beyond the authority of the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to impose such a moratorium. The ruling was immediately appealed by the Department of Justice, and Judge Friedrich stayed the ruling pending the appeal.
Judge Friedrich’s ruling results in an increasingly conflicted body of case law with two prior district courts upholding the moratorium, but certain state courts ruling otherwise. For now, however, the moratorium will stay in place.

India on Sunday registered 4,03,738 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking the tally of infections in the country to 2,22,96,414 since the pandemic broke out last year. The country’s toll climbed by 4,092 deaths to 2,42,362. India now has over 37 lakh active cases and 1,83,17,404 recoveries.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced that his administration had decided to extend the lockdown in the Capital till May 17. The chief minister also announced that the Delhi Metro will stop operations from Monday. Uttar Pradesh also extended the partial curbs in the state till 7 am on May 17 amid a surge in daily infections. Jammu and Kashmir too extended lockdown in all 20 districts till May 17.
