However, MDHHS communicated its resumption of the 14-day quarantine period in the publication, “COVID-19 Public Health Frequently Asked Questions”: “Due to increasing case rates and variant spread in Michigan, MDHHS has reinstated a standard 14-day quarantine for close contacts of COVID-19 cases effective April 5, 2021.” Several local health departments have followed suit with similar announcements.

Kingston – The United States Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), has urged Americans to avoid travelling to both Jamaica and Bermuda, following reports of an increase in cases of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
In the case of Jamaica, the CDC, extended the level four status – this means that travellers to the island have a very high possibility of contracting COVID-19.
In an updated advisory over the weekend, the CDC said because of the current situation in the country, even fully vaccinated people may be at risk for contracting and spreading COVID-19 variants.
The CDC said that those who must travel to Jamaica should get fully vaccinated and observe COVID-19 prevention measures.

The United States CDC issued a Level 4 or very high warning against all travel to Canada, stating: Because of the current situation in Canada even fully vaccinated travellers may be at risk for getting and spreading COVID-19 variants.
If they must travel to Canada, U.S. residents are advised to get fully vaccinated before travel. Further, all travellers are instructed to wear a mask, stay six feet from others, avoid crowds, and wash their hands.
