CNA file photo Taipei, May 20 (CNA) Taiwan s Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) announced Thursday that shareholders meetings of public companies will be suspended nationwide from May 24 to June 30 due to the increase in domestically-transmitted COVID-19 cases in the country. The first ever full-scale suspension will affect 1,931 listed and over-the-counter companies including Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC), United Microelectronics Corp. (UMC) and Foxconn Technology Group the FSC said. TSMC and UMC were slated to hold their shareholders meetings on June 8, while MediaTek Inc., China Steel Corporation and Foxconn were scheduled to do so on June 10, 18 and 23, respectively.
