322 COVID-19 cases, 20 deaths in Greater Lincolnshire on Tuesday

There have been 322 new coronavirus cases and 20 COVID-related deaths in Greater Lincolnshire on Tuesday.
The government’s COVID-19 dashboard recorded 263 new cases in Lincolnshire, 46 in North Lincolnshire and 13 in North East Lincolnshire.
On Tuesday, 14 deaths were registered in Lincolnshire, four in North East Lincolnshire and two in North Lincolnshire. These figures include deaths both in and out of hospitals, as well as residents in hospitals outside the county. Lincolnshire deaths have hit 800 since the pandemic started.
NHS England reported six new local hospital deaths on Tuesday, including four at United Lincolnshire Hospital Trust, one at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust and one at Lincolnshire Community Health Service hospitals. Councillor Stan Shreeve has is the new Deputy Leader of North East Lincolnshire Council.
North East Lincolnshire Council has appointed a new deputy leader in the same week that his predecessor stepped down after business links with a convicted fraudster were revealed.
Conservative Councillor John Fenty had set up a business with Alex May, who was previously convicted and jailed for six years for his part in a multi-million scam.
Mr Fenty said the pair were no longer business partners and on December 14 he stepped down from his role with the council.

A 31-year-old woman has pleaded guilty to causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal after a dog was found in the River Trent tied to a rock.
Bella the Belgian Shepherd’s lead was attached to a carrier bag tied to a large rock. The 10-year-old dog was rescued by passer-by Jane Harper after she was discovered near Long Lane in Farndon on January 6, 2020. She was taken into the care of the RSPCA and is reported to now be in good health.

Over £20,000 has been raised to help cover the funeral costs after the tragic murder of a 12-year-old schoolboy near Boston, two days before his 13th birthday.
The body of Roberts Buncis was found in a common area at the rear of Alcorn Green in Fishtoft during the morning of Saturday, December 12. Police believe the incident happened some time between 8pm on Friday, December 11 and 10.22am on December 12.
Two teens, aged 14 and 19, were arrested on Saturday. The 14-year-old was charged with murder, and appeared in court in Lincoln on Monday, with a bandage around a hand wound. The 19-year-old was released with no further action on Monday afternoon.
