Expensive watches taken in Lincoln jewellers burglary
Hole in the shutters and glass across the floor
A number of high value watches were stolen from a Lincoln jewellers in the early hours of Monday morning.
A big hole can be seen in the shutters at Ernest Jones on Lincoln High Street, where glass is shattered across the floor inside.
The burglary was reported to police at 2.29am on Monday, April 26 and a cordon was put in place.

42 coronavirus cases and one death in Greater Lincolnshire on Monday
44-year-olds invited for vaccines
There have been 42 coronavirus cases in Greater Lincolnshire and one COVID-related death on Monday.
The government’s COVID-19 dashboard recorded 21 new cases in Lincolnshire, 15 in North Lincolnshire and six in North East Lincolnshire.
There was one death registered in Lincolnshire. These figures include deaths both in and out of hospitals, as well as residents in hospitals outside the county. Fluctuations in data can occur for a variety of reasons including corrected data, misdiagnoses or wrong addresses.
NHS England reported no new hospital deaths.
On Monday, national cases increased by 2,064 to 4,406,946, while deaths rose by six to 127,434.

Pop-up coronavirus vaccination clinic opens at Sikh temple in Scunthorpe
The Sikh community have been receiving their jabs
Dozens of people in the Sikh community received their coronavirus vaccinations at the temple known as Guru Nanak Gurudwara in Scunthorpe on Sunday.
The temple is open for socially distanced prayers, but now also has a pop-up clinic, which community leaders say embodies Sikhism’s key principles of equality and service to humanity.
This comes at a time when celebrations are restricted for Vaisakhi, which is a historical and religious festival.
There have been some fears about the vaccine take up among certain ethnic minority groups, but community efforts like this can make a big difference.

COVID-secure thrills in Lincoln
Lincoln Funfair is returning to the South Common.
Get ready for a week of thrilling rides and games when Lincoln’s funfair returns to the South Common for a COVID-19 secure event next month.
The bi-annual event was due to take place in September last year, but was shut down by City of Lincoln Council due to a rise in the number of local coronavirus cases at the time.
Organisers said Lincoln Fun Fair will be able to make a comeback between Friday, May 14 and Saturday, May 22 now that coronavirus lockdown restrictions are starting to be eased more across the country.
