The government’s COVID-19 dashboard recorded 48 new cases in Lincolnshire, 13 in North Lincolnshire and six in North East Lincolnshire. On Wednesday, two deaths were registered in Lincolnshire and none in Northern Lincolnshire. These figures include deaths both in and out of hospitals, as well as residents in hospitals outside the county. However, NHS England has reported no new local hospital deaths on Wednesday, the third day in a row this week.

The government’s COVID-19 dashboard on April 5 recorded 45 new cases in Lincolnshire, 23 in North Lincolnshire and 13 in North East Lincolnshire. On Monday, one death was removed from the figures in Lincolnshire and another in North Lincolnshire. This figure includes deaths both in and out of hospitals, as well as residents in hospitals outside the county. Fluctuations in data can occur for a variety of reasons including corrected data, misdiagnoses or wrong addresses.

The crash happened at around 6am on April 5, south of the Sutterton roundabout near Dowdyke Road. A green Volkswagen Sharan people carrier and a white Nissan Qashqai were involved. All seven men involved in the crash, six in the Volkswagen and the driver of the Nissan, were injured one seriously so but none of the injuries were deemed life-threatening.

Malcolm Munson (69) had tried to pay the £1 parking charge at Boston’s Pilgrim Hospital during a half-hour visit on February 26. The machine had returned his coin, stating that he had 30 minutes free parking - but he later received a letter demanding that he pay £42. Malcolm Munson and his wife Sandra (45698784) After calls from the Guardian, United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust waived the fee and confirmed 30 minutes’ free parking is still offered at the hospital. Mr Munson, who is also a Blue Badge holder, had been to hospital for a regular appointment with wife Sandra (69), who was diagnosed with a rare form of lung cancer and has defied doctors’ expectations.
