The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee’s (DCCC) latest hire, Erica Joy Baker, has a history of espousing anti-law enforcement sentiments on social media, expressing hatred for police officers and likening them to “modern day slave patrol.”
The DCCC, which is chaired by Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney (D-NY), announced Monday they hired Baker (pictured) as the committee’s chief technology officer (CTO).
“Erica Joy Baker will be the first-ever Chief Technology Officer at the DCCC, and Chris Hayden will serve as the first-ever disabled communications director at the committee. Together, these hires bring a wealth of experience to the DCCC,” the DCCC said in a press release Monday.

Dyjuan Tatro has a new gig with the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. What makes it unusual is he is an ex-gang member who slashed another gang member with a razor in 2002. That wasn’t all he did.
However, Tatro earned a bachelor’s degree and debated his jailhouse colleagues successfully. His successes made a PBS special and the future acclaim that landed him a top job in the DCCC.
Tatro also helped his imprisoned fellows. That was nice.

The social media trail complicated what Democrats packaged as an inspiring redemption story.
Republicans said Mr. Tatro‘s hiring fits snugly with the “defund the police” narrative pushed by many Democrats at the municipal and state level over the past year. Since the death of George Floyd in police custody in Minneapolis last May, the “defund the police” movement has gained support in several cities led by Democratic councils and mayors.
“We already know House Democrats want to defund the police, but it’s disturbing to see DCCC senior leadership actively condoning looting and slandering Capitol Police,” said National Republican Congressional Committee spokesman Michael McAdams.
