The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the official notification of CDS (Combined Defence Services) Examination II, 2017 on the official website at upsc.gov.in
Aspiring candidates are requested to apply latest by September 8 till 6 pm through prescribed format.
The UPSC will conduct the CDS II examination on November 19 at various test centres across the state.
A total of 95 candidates who had appeared for the UPSC Combined Defence Services Examination (I) Final Exam and SSB Interviews held in February 2020 have been declared qualified for different posts on Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy.

Synopsis
The upcoming institute will impart training to the aspirants for induction into armed forces, keeping the entry at graduate level for CDSE/AFCAT. The institute will run three courses of three months duration with intake capacity of 40 candidates, thus imparting training to 120 candidates in a year.

Chief Minister Amarinder Singh on Wednesday virtually laid the foundation stone of Sardar Bahadur Amin Chand Soni Armed Forces Preparatory Institute at Hoshirapur s Bajwara village, according to a government statement.

Chandigarh [India], February 3 (ANI): Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Wednesday laid the foundation stone of Sardar Bahadur Amin Chand Soni Armed Forces Preparatory Institute at Bajwara in Punjab s Hoshiarpur district through video conferencing.
According to an official release issued by the Punjab government, the project will be executed at a cost of Rs 27 crore over an area of 12.75 acres by the Punjab Public Works Department (PWD) Building and Roads department and would be completed by the end of 2021. The upcoming institute is to facilitate more youth from the state to take up defence services as a career and will impart training to 270 candidates per year, the statement read.
