MAHONING TWP. Police are investigating the theft of about 40 veteran grave markers from Odd Fellows Cemetery discovered missing this week. Jo Pennypacker, Montour County’s director of Veterans’ Services, said someone was taking a walk through the cemetery last weekend and noticed the markers, which hold tiny flags, were gone. Music on Main kick-off: Prete Plaza, 221 E. Main St. The event will begin with the Round Rock Ballet Folklorico at 5:45 p.m., and then Round Rock will be officially certified as a Texas Music Friendly Community by the Texas Music Office, at 6 p.m. Mayor Craig Morgan will give opening remarks for Music on Main at 6 p.m., and a Dale Watson concert will begin at 6:10 p.m. For more information: roundrocktexas.gov.

Adult Information Series: various times and topics at the Brushy Creek Community Center, 16318 Great Oaks Drive, Round Rock. Participants can choose from two-day classes on techniques to teach children responsibility, prepare and store homemade meals and preparing short-term food supplies and first aid.
