ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Minister for Information and Broadcasting Syed Shibli Faraz said that Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) has become irrelevant in the politics of Pakistan as it has failed to garner support from the public.
Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Thursday, the Minister said masses have stood against corruption, but they cannot be brought on streets to safeguard corruption.
He said Prime Minister Imran Khan is committed to act against those, who have plundered Pakistan s wealth, and he is not ready to compromise stand on this issue.
Govt committed to make efforts for protection, welfare of media workers: Shibli

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Syed Shibli Faraz says government is committed to make every possible effort for the protection and welfare of the media workers.
Addressing a new conference in Islamabad on Thursday, he said a bill for the protection of journalists is under process in parliament, while another private member bill proposed for the wellbeing of media workers was rejected in the Senate due to non-cooperation of the opposition.
Syed Shibli Faraz said the government is also working on provision of health cards to journalists.

PM constituted 3-member committee on revelations made by Broadsheet: Shibli
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Imran Khan has constituted a three-member cabinet committee to submit its recommendations on the revelations made by the Broadsheet within 48 hours.
Information Minister Syed Shibli Faraz said this in a tweet today (Monday) .
According to the tweet, the committee will comprise Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari and Minister for Science and Technology and Minister for Information and Broadcasting Syed Shibli Faraz, who will also be convener of the committee.
Syed Shibli Faraz said action will be taken against all those, who reaped benefits in the broadsheet saga as well as their facilitators.
Federal cabinet approves exemption of high speed diesel from tax, duty

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal cabinet on Tuesday approved the authority of the Auditor General and exemption of high speed diesel from tax and duty.
Meeting of the Federal Cabinet was held in Islamabad on Tuesday with Prime Minister Imran Khan in the chair.
The meeting discussed overall political and economic situation of the country. The meeting also dilated upon steps taken to check the spread of second wave of Covid-19.
The huddle approves declaration of FIA Commercial Banking Circle Lahore as Police Station, while the meeting decided to set up a four-member committee on the construction of a multi-storey building in Nowshera.
