Thursday, more than 500 doses went out at a North Broadway mosque and Muslim leaders hope even more will follow statewide. (ABC 6 News) - As part of national public health week, Olmsted County Public Health is updating how we are doing with vaccinations.
So far, more than a third of the people in Olmsted county have received their first vaccine shot.
Statewide - Minnesota is leading the nation when it comes to doses administered. We ve really been working at making sure that there are resources available on the education side and I think what we re seeing now ultimately is that there is increasing willingness in a variety of populations and cultures in taking vaccine if we re able to talk to those communities, says Graham Briggs, M.P.H., director of Olmsted County Public Health.
