Battle of the Badges started in 2018, the Mayo Clinic Blood Donor Program presented the idea to first responders in Olmsted County to help get more blood donations over the summer.

A Rochester motorcyclist was hospitalized Wednesday following a crash with a SUV in Marion Township.
Bradley Nelson, 59, was taken to Mayo Clinic Hospital-Saint Marys with a suspected serious leg injury after he was thrown off his motorcycle.
The Olmsted County Sheriff s Office was called to respond to the two-vehicle accident at 4:14 p.m. Wednesday in the intersection of 60th Avenue and Easy Street Southeast. The driver of a 2017 Ford Edge, 48-year-old Casey Varpness, of Rochester, was on Easy Street facing westbound when she stopped at the stop sign, according to Capt. Scott Behrns.

Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Arrest warrants have been issued for two men who are accused of threatening a Rochester teenager and causing him to suffer a seizure.
Being sought on felony assault and kidnapping charges are 23-year-old Rodney Livingston and 20-year-old Kevin Hall. Livingston has a Colorado address and Hall has been living in Rochester.
The incident took place in January and police became involved when the 15-year-old’s mother called 911 to report he had just been chased home by a man she did not recognize.
