(ABC 6 News) Things are moving for a proposed memorial dedicated to fallen law enforcement officers in Southeast Minnesota.
On Sunday, Olmsted County Sheriff Kevin Torgerson shared an update about the project that has been 15 years in the making. It s the Law Enforcement Memorial for Fallen Officers in Southeast Minnesota. It s going to be built on a land adjacent to the Soldiers Field Veterans Memorial in Rochester, When their officer has died in the line of duty, they feel like their officer is gone. So, now they re not part of that family. We want them to know that they will always be a part of family. And, this is a great public way of showing them. Not only to them but to our communities, how important they are, shared Torgerson.
