On Thursday s show Kate had the chance to speak to Kathleen and Karen from London s Whittington hospital where Derek was first admitted
Kathleen and Karen are part of a nationwide hospital choir releasing a cover of The Police hit Every Breath You Take for charity
The presenter, 53, said on GMB: Obviously my dream is for the children and I to see Derek on Christmas Day in some way
Kate also revealed she had missed two weeks of GMB as her and her kids were exposed to COVID-19

A Kent nurse consultant is hoping for a different kind of viral this Christmas - as part of an ICU choir s bid for the Christmas number one.
Catherine Plowright, who works at the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford, is part of a 115-strong Zoom choir made up of intensive care staff which has re-made classic The Police track âEvery Breath You Takeâ.
