He is being held at St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, on $10,000 cash bail. Daniel M. Strong, 26, of Brier Hill, was charged by Ogdensburg police Friday with third-degree grand larceny, a felony, on two bench warrants. Joshua D. Martin, 42, of Canton, was charged by St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies Friday with first-degree attempted promoting prison contraband. Police allege Mr. Martin was sent a letter addressed to him that contained 30 strips of Suboxone while he was being held at county jail on May 17. Robert P. Forsythe, 37, currently an inmate in county jail, was charged by sheriff’s deputies June 8 with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property in connection with a February 2020 burglary in the town of Oswegatchie.

Brenno of Ogdensburg was arrested by State Police in Canton on June 10 following the issuance of a warrant for an assault that took place on Dec. 24, 2020. Brenno was charged with second-degree assault and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Brenno was arraigned virtually and remanded to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility without bail due to the felony charges and previous felony convictions. State police looking for suspect in Oswegatchie machete attack from December

OSWEGATCHIE — State police are looking for a north country man wanted on felony charges stemming from a December assault in Oswegatchie. Jebadiah J. Brenno, 38, allegedly attacked a person with a machete on Dec. 24 at a Lee Road residence. The victim was left with “multiple lacerations and stab wounds,” according to police. Brenno is wanted on a warrant from Oswegatchie Town Court on charges of second-degree assault and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Police describe him as white, 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds with black hair and green eyes. Anyone with information about Brenno’s whereabouts is asked to call Troop B state police at 518-873-2750 or email crimetip@troopers.ny.gov.
