Six suspected kidnappers have been apprehended by youths in Odo-Owa, a town in Oke-Ero Local Government Area of Kwara State.
Channels Television gathered that the suspects have been terrorising the people of the area for some time before they were intercepted on Friday.
The suspected kidnappers, whose gang leader was identified as one Ramoni, were said to have kidnapped four persons on Wednesday in Odo-Owa.
Among their victims was a Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) officer, and the suspects demanded eight million naira as ransom before they would be released.
Sources said the families of the victims had raised and paid a sum of two million naira as ransom to the suspected kidnappers as the first tranche.

DAILY POST gathered that the gun duel happened near Ero-Dam in the local government area on Thursday.
The two suspects arrested were identified as Bunmi, an indigene of Odo Owa and a Fulani man named Ramoni.
Both suspects according to a top Civil Defence Corps official in Omu-Aran, Mr. A.O.Mobayo, have been handed over to the Nigeria Police area command office at Omu-Aran, in Irepodun Local Government Area of the state, for further investigation.
The joint covert operation, DAILY POST further gathered, was sequel to the confessional statement of a suspected kidnapper arrested in Ekiti by the state police command.

A rainstorm has killed two women in a church at Kajola, in the Oke-Ero Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The storm which struck the community on Sunday, according to officials of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, killed a pregnant woman, identified simply as Funmi, and another woman known as Iya Isanlu in Boluwarin Church.
The Public Relations Officer of NSCDC, Kwara State Command, Babawale Afolabi, explained that the building of the church collapsed on the two women, leading to their death.
He said, “A pregnant woman called Funmi, as well as an aged woman, iya-isanlu, were killed.
