Saturday, April 3, 2021 - 8:40 am BY JIMMY LAWTON North Country This Week OGDENSBURG – Ogdensburg City School District’s proposed $49 million budget will not include an increase in the tax levy. The tax levy will remain at $10,598,360, which is the same as the previous year. Superintendent Kevin Kendall said overall, the budget will increase from $47 million to about $49 million but the increase will not impact local taxes. The tax rate remains up in the air until property assessments are finalized, but the current tax rate for the district is $27.36. Typically, when the tax levy remains the same as the previous year, the tax rate does go down as property values tend to increase over time.
