OCSO Searching For Witnesses Of Deadly Crash In Harrah

A driver was killed and a passenger was injured after a Friday night accident in Harrah. The Oklahoma County Sheriff s Office said the accident happened just after 10 p.m. on North Harrah Road between East Britton Road and Northeast 108th Street. When authorities arrived on scene, they found a mangled vehicle in a culvert. The driver of the vehicle, who was 27 years old but not yet identified by name, was thrown from the vehicle and killed. The passenger of the vehicle suffered minor injuries. The OCSO is searching for possible witnesses to the accident as it crafts an investigation.

All-Clear Given After Star Spencer High School Evacuated Due To Threat

Oklahoma County deputies gave the all-clear shortly after 1:30 p.m. Thursday. The threat became known Thursday morning and students and staff left the building a short time later. The Oklahoma County Sheriff s Office said the school received a bomb threat over the phone. The department s bomb squad is checking the building. Out of an abundance of caution, they evacuated students and staff and checked the building. Officials later told KOCO 5 that an all clear has been given and that they did not find a bomb in the building.

OCSO Audit Finds More Than $1 Million Worth Of Missing Equipment

An audit of the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office finds more than a million dollars’ worth of missing equipment. Newly elected sheriff Tommie Johnson III requested the audit upon entering office in an attempt to further transparency. The Oklahoma State Auditor and Inspectors Office released the report which revealed the discrepancy. The inventory list included 4,559 items. The report found 998 of those items were not found. The total value on those items was $2,150,089. Additionally, the audit found 1,091 items totaling $4,845,141 have not been properly disposed of. Three items totaling $3,758 were reported stolen. The sheriff’s office says the items were worth $6.9 million, but when you factor in depreciation the final value is estimated at $1.4 million.

False Burglary Report Leads To Car Chase, Manhunt In Central Oklahoma

By: Barry Mangold An incorrect report of a burglary in Nicoma Park led to a roughly 20-mile car chase that ended with a crash and manhunt in Pottawatomie County.  Oklahoma County dispatch received a 911 call Monday night from a woman who said a home on E. Sewell Ave. in Nicoma Park was broken into.  “There are people over there tearing that house apart and it is not the cops,” the caller told dispatchers.  The owner of the home said there was no break-in. The owner, who requested to not be identified, shared security footage with News 9 overlooking the front of the home.
