Updated: 4:03 PM CDT Apr 19, 2021 KOCO Staff The Oklahoma City-County Health Department announced that it is opening two campuses Tuesday offering the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.The local health department will welcome anyone 16 and older to get their COVID-19 vaccine at the northeast or Southern Oaks location on Tuesday. Each campus has 500 doses of the Pfizer vaccine to distribute from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.People are encouraged to make appointments or can walk in at those sites, according to a news release.Anyone younger than 18 years old must have a parent or legal guardian on-site to give consent. The Oklahoma City-County Health Department is hosting two Pfizer clinics for the COVID-19 vaccine Tuesday.
The vaccine clinic at the county s Northeast Campus, near Northeast 63rd Street and North Martin Luther King Avenue, starts at 8 a.m.
The other starts at the same time at the Southern Oaks campus, near Interstate 240 and Walker Avenue.
Five hundred Pfizer doses will be available at each clinic.
Appointments are still available; people can sign up online at vaxokc.com. However, both sites will also be accepting walk-ins.
All Americans age 16 and older are now eligible to get the vaccine.
According to the CDC, more than half of all adults in the US have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, with around 25 percent being fully vaccinated.
