CHICKASHA, Oklahoma - The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the third suspect wanted in connection with a shootout with police in Stephens County is in custody after a multi-county search. A large police presence was visible at the Grady Memorial Hospital in Chickasha. OHP confirmed the hospital was placed on lockdown while authorities investigated. OHP Trooper Eric Foster told News 9 the hospital was one of multiple locations being searched. According to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, The Chickasaw Nation Lighthorse Police tried to initiate a traffic stop on a suspected stolen vehicle Wednesday east of Marlow in Stephens County. The OSBI Internet Crimes Against Children grant awarded is just shy of $3,000 and will fund the purchase of a computer. According to their site, “The OSBI Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit is one of 63 regional task forces throughout the United States that are funded in part by the United States Department of Justice, Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. Woman Dies, Man Injured In Double Shooting In Pottawatomie County

The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly double shooting Tuesday. Law enforcement officers responded to a shooting call just after 7:30 p.m. It happened two miles south of Highway 59 on Sacred Heart Road, six miles northwest of Konawa, the undersheriff confirmed to News 9. Authorities said a woman was taken to Seminole Hospital where she died. A man was also shot and taken to OU Medical. Authorities said he is expected to survive. No suspect information has been released at this time. The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is assisting with the investigation. This is a developing story.
