Okay.Save yourself the time of trying to think of an argument on how this proposal could never happen. You may not believe in Bigfoot, but there are a lot of people that do. There are also tons of folks that think the earth is flat, and aliens live among us. Before you leave the who cares comment in our Facebook feeds, know that there are people who do care. And, those people are actually proposing a legitimate hunting season for the mythical creature.

Oklahoman he s not really a Bigfoot believer but he keeps an open mind. I have been in the woods all my life, and I have not ever seen any sign of Bigfoot, the Republican said. I have never heard Bigfoot, but I have some people that I know that are good, solid people who I will guarantee you 100% have said they have had experience with Bigfoot. So, I know there are people out there that you will not convince that Bigfoot doesn t exist.
Oklahoma Bill Would Create Official Bigfoot Season!
Oklahoma could be one of the very first states to introduce an official season for Bigfoot. State Representative Justin Humphrey has just submitted a bill that would create an official hunting season for Sasquatch. House Bill 1648 requests that the Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Commission consider a proposal to outline guidelines, annual season dates and all related licensing and fees Oklahoman s will be expected to pay to hunt for Bigfoot. Well not hunt, more like trap Bigfoot.
Remain calm, no one wants to kill Bigfoot. The season and licensing will only be for persons interested in sighting the mythical creature and possibly trapping a Bigfoot. I m sure there will be guidelines on exactly how to trap and what kind of traps are acceptable. This way no imaginary creatures can be seriously harmed and their make believe habit destroyed by would be trappers and monster hunters.

OKLAHOMA CITY - An Oklahoma representative presented a bill this week to establish a hunting season dedicated to the fabled Bigfoot.
The bill, introduced by Representative Justin Humphrey, would take effect later this year if it is approved. The Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Commission shall promulgate rules establishing a Bigfoot hunting season. The Commission shall set annual season dates and create any necessary specific hunting licenses and fees . You can read the bill here.
Humphrey represents a large part of Southeastern Oklahoma, which is infamous for alleged Bigfoot sightings. A Bigfoot festival is held in the area annually, but this year s festival was canceled due to COVID-19.
Humphrey said his intent is to bring more tourism to the state. Establishing an actual hunting season and issuing licenses for people who want to hunt Bigfoot will just draw more people to our already beautiful part of the state, he said in a statement.
Officials with agency that would be tasked with establishing the season were not so sure about the proposal. We use science-driven research, and we don t recognize Bigfoot in the state of Oklahoma, Micah Holmes of the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation told KOCO-TV.
Bigfoot or sasquatch is an ape-like creature covered in hair that walks on two legs, though most claims of its existence have turned out to be hoaxes. It has been spotted by people for hundreds of years, according to the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization, a group of scientists that looks into reported sightings.
