Joshua David Hawley, 40, of Pontiac, was recently arrested at an apartment complex in Oakland County after police identified him on surveillance video as the suspect in the Dec. 10 robbery at the Genisys Credit Union, 44400 Woodward Ave., police said. Hawley was arraigned Saturday before 50th District Court Magistrate Robert Morad on one count of bank robbery, which police said carries a maximum possible penalty of life in prison. Hawley was denied bond, police said. Hawley s next court appearance is scheduled for Dec. 22.

Oakland County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the area of Kent Lake Road and Grand River on the report of a Ford F-150 pickup truck that was being driven erratically just before 3pm on Sunday. According to a police report, the Sheriff’s Operation Center was speaking to a caller who reported she was following the truck on I-96. The caller claimed the vehicle had crossed all lanes of the highway and almost ran her off the road three times. She followed the F-150 into the Kensington Place Mobile Home Park in Lyon Township where she observed the vehicle crashing and lodging into a mobile home on Petoskey Street.

Joshua David Hawley, 40, was charged Friday in 50th District Court with a count of bank robbery, a life felony, according to the Oakland County Sheriff s Office. A magistrate also denied Hawley bond and scheduled his next court appearance for next Tuesday. Deputies were called to the Genisys Credit Union at 44400 Woodward near Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, authorities said. They spoke to the credit union s manager, who reported a white male with multiple tattoos on his head and face had robbed the business. He told deputies the suspect showed a teller a note demanding money and was handed $1,356 in cash.

Suspected drunk driver hits state trooper s patrol car in Pontiac | Cops and Courts

Charges are expected for a driver who authorities say was drunk when he crashed his vehicle into a Michigan State Police trooper’s patrol car in Pontiac on Sunday. According to MSP, it was at approximately 1:30 a.m. when the trooper attempted to stop a driver for a traffic violation on County Center Drive and Pontiac Lake Road. The driver stopped his car in the middle of the intersection, police said, and then started to back up and struck the patrol car. The trooper reportedly determined the driver was impaired, with a blood alcohol content measured at .13 percent. He was lodged in the Oakland County Jail.
