Venture capital owner to be virtual speaker at Rotary meeting

LAHAINA Neel “Bubba” Murarka, founder of Eleven Prime Venture Capital, will make a presentation to the Zoom meeting of the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 16. Bubba helped Facebook pivot to mobile, built product teams at Microsoft, started two non-profits, and founded four startups. Across those roles Bubba did hundreds of millions of dollars of strategic deals, was awarded multiple patents for his innovations and built products used by more than a billion people.
Over the past few years, as companies have come under steadily increasing pressure to tackle climate change, nature-based solutions have emerged as a particularly exciting method for shrinking corporate carbon footprints.
Until recently, the concept of blue carbon attracted little attention outside academic and think-tank circles. We may be at a turning point, thanks to the actions of some forward-thinking businesses.
