Route 365 in Verona reopens following tractor trailer collision
Staff reports
The westbound lane of Route 365 in Verona has been reopened after debris from a collision between a Jeep and a tractor trailer temporarily closed it Saturday morning, according to the Oneida County Sheriff s Office.
Deputies responded around 6:10 a.m. to Route 365 near Exit 33 on the Thruway, where they learned 24-year-old Brian Longto was driving his Jeep Grand Cherokee west when he struck and heavily damaged the rear of a tractor trailer after he saw the vehicle slowing down and was unable to stop, officials said.
Debris from inside the trailer caused the temporary traffic closure, but all lanes are now open, deputies said.
Oneida County is looking for public feedback on its Police Reform & Reinvention Collaborative Plan, which was created by a committee of community leaders and law enforcement.
