Agreement signed to boost cultural tourism at Nizwa fort

The Ministry of Heritage and Culture (MOHC) today signed an agreement with Oman Tourism Development Company (Omran), to manage historical treasure Nizwa Fort. This agreement marks the first historical site that will be managed by Omran, as part of its aims to enhance sustainable cultural tourism destinations that respect and promote Oman’s rich cultural and authentic heritage.
The agreement was signed by Hassan al Lawati, advisor to the Minister of Heritage and Culture for Heritage Affairs and Mohammed Al Mahruqi, Omran Board Member at The Ministry of Heritage and Culture, in the presence of senior government officials from Ministry of Tourism and Ministry of Finance. The agreement marks the beginning of a new chapter of many historical sites that will be managed by Omran in collaboration with the private sector.

Omran Group launches design competition for fishermen village in Mahout

Muscat: Oman Tourism Development Company (Omran Group) - the executive arm of the Sultanate for tourism development - announced the launch of a competition to design a village for fishermen in Sirab Village in the Wilayat of Mahout, Al Wusta governorate.
The contest which is being organised by Omran Group in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries Wealth and Water Resources, is open to fresh Omani graduates that are majoring in architecture and urban planning. The competition comes in line with Omran Group s endeavour to develop the capabilities of young Omani talents, and engage them in various initiatives that aim to enhance the infrastructure facilities and support the local economy.

Al Mouj Muscat, a property being jointly developed by UAE-based Majid Al Futtaim Properties, the Oman Tourism Development Company (Omran) and the Oman National Investment Development Company (Tanmia), announced the launch of its 6-bed villas and mansions on Monday.
The Golf Beach Residences comprise of seven top-of-the line Zunairah mansions, each priced at OMR3m (Dhs28.6m), and which have private infinity pools, landscaped gardens and direct access to the beach. All seven mansions were sold on Monday morning itself.
There are also five Beach Park Villas each priced at OMR1.3m (Dhs12.4m) with private pools and courtyards, as well as seven Beach Boulevard Villas priced at OMR700,000 (Dhs6.6m) in this gated community.
