Police seek information about man stabbed to death on east end of Broadway Bridge

Police are seeking information about a man stabbed to death Feb. 20 on the east end of the Broadway Bridge.
The Oregon State Medical Examiner’s Office determined 57-year-old James Setty died from stab wounds and ruled his death a homicide. Portland police detectives would like to hear from anyone who knew Setty or where he was living in Portland, police said Thursday.
Police also released photos of Setty. Just prior to his death, his beard and hair were longer than is shown in the photos.

Portland police identified the victim as 57-year-old James Setty.
Officers responded about 2:12 a.m. to a report of a medical check for a person on the east end of the Broadway Bridge. The officers discovered a dead person with “suspicious injuries,” police initially said.
The Oregon State Medical Examiner’s Office determined Setty died from stab wounds and ruled the death a homicide, police said Saturday night.
