1. Governors from the SouthWest zone of the country and some first class rulers, yesterday, okayed the decision of the National Economic Council (NEC) for each State in Nigeria to manage its forest.
2. The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Maj Gen Ibrahim Attahiru was in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital yesterday over an attack on two communities in the State by the Boko Haram insurgents on Friday night.
3. The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor E. A. Adeboye, yesterday, disowned a list of ‘prayer points’ against Fulani herdsmen, which circulated on social media. He made the clarification via a tweet on his official Twitter page.

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye yesterday asked the federal government to ensure the immediate release of Leah Sharibu from the captivity of Boko Haram, an Islamic terrorist organisation based in northeastern Nigeria
Adeboye, a former university teacher, has also issued a fresh directive to all pastors of the church across the world “not to stop, but to intensify their prayers” for Leah’s release.
He made these calls in a statement he issued on Friday as a coalition of civil society organisations (CSOs) under the aegis of #The FreeLeahSharibu campaign marked three years of Leah’s abduction.

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has disowned a list of ‘prayer points’ against Fulani herders circulated on social media.
In a tweet on Saturday, Adeboye branded the ‘prayer points’ as ‘fake news’ and said he never issued it and he never asked anyone to issue it on his behalf.
The so-called ‘prayer points’ partly read, “The Fulani Moslems, well-organised, have encircled us with high calibre arms and ammunition pretending they are cattle-rearers, wait for orders to overrun our land and kill our people. They have perfected their strategies.
“Now, oh Lord, arise and defend us; contend with those that contend with us.
