The death of the 42 year old son of the General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Dare Adeboye has grounded activities at the Redemption camp.
The third child of Pastor Enoch Adeboye, died in his sleep on Wednesday in Eket, Akwa Ibom State.
However, the Redemption camp was found empty when our correspondent visited the area. All activities were grounded as school children who came to study were spotted going home.
When asked why they were going home, one of them said: “I don’t know. We were told to go home and that’s’ what we are doing”.
Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu has commiserated with Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) on the death of his son, Pastor Dare Adeboye.
The governor also extended his condolence to the general overseer’s wife, Pastor Folu Adeboye, over the demise of her son.
Pastor Dare Adeboye, who was an Assistant Pastor in charge of Youths in Region 35 of RCCG, died in his sleep on Wednesday in Eket, Akwa Ibom at the age of 42.
Sanwo-Olu, in a statement issued on Thursday by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Gboyega Akosile, expressed his heartfelt sympathies over the death.

The General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG has been reported to have lost his third child, Pastor Dare Adeboye to the cold hands of death.
It is gathered that the 42-year-old, who is the third son of the revered cleric, died in his sleep on Wednesday in Eket, Akwa Ibom State, where he was based with his family.

According to reports, the deceased, who was the Assistant Pastor in charge of Region (Youth) 35, had ministered the previous day.
The report states that his wife, Temiloluwa Adeboye, noticed her husband’s unusual sleeping hours and could not reach him on phone. She reportedly raised the alarm and he was discovered dead. The deceased was neither sick nor on medication when the tragic incident happened.
