Former Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik is sending his best wishes to the teams participating in the Kashmir Premier League (KPL).
According to KPL’s official website, the league’s first edition, of which Malik is also a part as a captain of one of the teams, will be kicked off from August 6 in Muzaffarabad, Azad Kashmir.
Taking to Twitter, Malik wrote: Wishing the very best to all the teams taking part in the first draft of #KPL2021 looking forward to a exciting tournament from next month. #KheloAazadiSe.”
KPL joins hands with Shahid Afridi Foundation

ISLAMABAD: The Kashmir Premier League (KPL) on Tuesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Shahid Afridi Foundation, a charity organization with the aim of transforming the lives of unprivileged communities.
The KPL aims to align the societal development with the cricketing activity creating a platform that would positively encompass the people and land of Kashmir.
The Kashmir Premier League is a T20 league that comprises six teams entitled Rawalakot Hawks, Kotli Panthers, Mirpur Royals, Muzaffarabad Tigers, Overseas Warriors, and Bagh Stallions.
The event will be executed in Muzaffarabad, Mirpur, and Rawalpindi Cricket grounds from April 1-10, 2021.

Flanked by President Azad Jammu & Kashmir Sardar Masood Khan, celebrated cricket icon Shahid Afridi who is also the brand ambassador for KPL, Azhar Mahmood, Chief Coach for KPL, President KPL Arif Malik and Shehzad Akhtar Chaudhry KPL CEO, Shehryar Afridi said that KPL would help put Kashmir on the World Sports Map.
