Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday asked the Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Ministry and recruiting agencies to take care of Bangladeshi expatriates. “I request you one thing that those who’re involved in manpower migration from recruiting agencies to the Ministry to give them (expats) the due honour and make sure they’re not facing any problem,” she said.  The Prime Minister said this while addressing a programme virtually marking International Migration Day 2020 from her official residence Ganabhaban. Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Ministry organised the programme at Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC).

Training imparted to supply workers in int.labor market : Imran 357 DHAKA, Dec 23, 2020 (BSS)- Minister for Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment Imran Ahmed today said training is being imparted to provide skilled workers in the international labor market after the global pandemic Covid-19. He said, “Various initiatives have been taken by the ministry for the welfare of expatriate workers and their families during the coronavirus pandemic and more initiatives will be taken in future.” He was speaking as the chief guest at an exchange of views meeting on partner services and activities organized by Bangladesh Overseas Employment and Services Limited (BOESL) on the occasion of International Migrants Day 2020 at Prabasi Kalyan Bhaban, said Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment Ministry press release here today.
