The Ohio Water Development Authority (OWDA) awarded $6.5 million through low-interest loans to Ohio communities to improve wastewater and drinking water infrastructure and make water-quality improvements for Ohioans.
For May, the Authority funded six projects that will replace aging infrastructure and extend service areas, according to a news release. The six awarded projects received an interest rate ranging from 1% to 2%.
Stark County is receiving $574,388 at 1.5% for 20 years from OWDA’s Fresh Water Loan Program for the construction of 5,000 feet of waterline along Casern and Mogadore avenues in Lake Township to eliminate dead ends.
