LEXINGTON - Lexington police were on the scene of a death investigation Tuesday night at 31 Second Ave.
An officer at the scene Tuesday night said Lexington police Chief Brett Pauley would most likely be issuing a news release Wednesday morning. He said he could not provide any information.
Two units from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Identification were on site.
Richland County coroner s investigator Bob Ball was on site too.

And 23 of those killed, like Toledo, were under 15. Bryant was fatally shot April 20 by Columbus police who were called to the scene about a fight and an attempted stabbing. Toledo was shot and killed by a Chicago police officer in the predominantly Latino neighborhood of Little Village on March 29. The body camera footage of each incident sparked local and national outrage.
GENOA - A Genoa man has been charged with murdering his wife and abandoning the couple s four children in Tennessee.
John Eichner, 43, is accused by police of having murdered his wife, Amber Eichner, who was reported missing on Friday, according to a news release issued Wednesday morning by Ottawa County Prosecutor James VanEerten.
Police said they received a tip from a friend of Eichner that he had asked and been granted permission to bury his deceased dog on the friend s property. Police conducted a search and excavation of the site in south Toledo and located human remains.
The remains are believed to be those of Amber Eichner, but DNA analysis is being conducted to confirm the identity, according to the news release.

SIDNEY – After approximately two and a half hours of deliberation, a jury found a 31-year-old Sidney man not guilty of gross sexual imposition Wednesday afternoon in Shelby County Common Pleas Court.
Oziel A. Godinez-Galvan was accused of touching a girl younger than the age of 13 with the purpose of sexually arousing himself or the child, which is a third degree felony. The Sidney man, who identifies by the last name Godinez, denied that he ever touched the girl inappropriately.
