NELSONVILLE, Ohio One man has died and two officers were injured after shots were fired during a domestic dispute call in Nelsonville Tuesday evening.
Around 7:30 p.m., officers with Nelsonville and Hocking College police responded to an apartment on Third Street, according to Nelsonville Chief of Police Scott Fitch.
Fitch said shots were fired and a Nelsonville officer was shot in his vest. An officer with Hocking College suffered minor injuries.

NELSONVILLE, Ohio (WCMH) Two police officers and a male subject were injured during a domestic dispute in Nelsonville Tuesday night.
According to the Nelsonville Police Department, officers from Nelsonville and Hocking College police departments responded to a call for a domestic disturbance at an apartment on Third Street in Nelsonville at approximately 7:30 p.m.
Police said shots were fired and that two officers and a male suspect were taken to OhioHealth O’Bleness Hospital in Athens.
A Nelsonville Police officer is in stable condition after being shot, while a Hocking College Police officer is also in stable condition after sustaining minor injuries.

COLUMBUS, Ohio A man has been charged with felonious assault after allegedly crashing into a Columbus police vehicle and shooting at an officer in east Columbus Saturday morning.
According to court documents, at 1:51 a.m., Kanton Talley, 37, was involved in a hit-skip accident where he hit a parked Columbus police cruiser.
The officer witnessed this and went to look for Talley, who was later found in the parking lot in the 5100 block of Stone Ridge Drive near Fountain Lane and East Main Street.
