The Other Side of the Ring, moved from England to the United States and Louisville for OVW, the company’s developmental territory.
“When I was in OVW, that was the complete focus. It was everyday training and then shows and in between thinking about storylines,” she said. “Al Snow, our trainer, would come up and say I have a great idea for a storyline, let’s do that. He would take the time to sit down with us and mold it into the best version of the story as you can get unless it was a horrible idea where he would suggest something else. Having that constant focus of working on something and toward something. Also, trusting your talents.”

Brandon Espinosa vs. Ryan Howe
Espinosa goes on the offensive after a Howe guitar solo. Espinosa going at Howe hard with clobbering blows. Howe tries slowing things down as he tries to apply a hammerlock. Espinosa escapes and goes back at Howe. Howe builds some distance with a jawbreaker, but Espinosa responds with a sliding lariat. Espinosa going at the face in a Camel Clutch position. Espinosa in full control, until Howe starts to get into a slug fest. Springboard crossbody from Howe as he show some life.

Before there was NXT, there were Ohio Valley Wrestling and Florida Championship Wrestling. These two developmental territories were known to hire WWE female talents based on their appearances and not on their wrestling ability. John Laurinaitis ran WWE s talent division which also saw former bodybuilders and football players getting contracts alongside various fitness and swimsuit models while indie wrestlers were few, far and between.
One of those contests was the WWE Diva Search where the winner got a WWE main roster contract. The contestants faced each other in provocative segments such as seducing Kamala, pie-eating contests, stripteases and of course, the Diss the Diva segment where contestants made suggestive comments toward each other as well as catfighting.
– Backstage, Al Snow helps introduce the Kentucky Heavyweight Championship. A tournament is announced with 31 wrestlers. One wrestler will be announced soon, and one lucky fan can win $2500 if they correctly pick the winner of the tournament.
OVW Heavyweight Championship Match: Ca$h Flo (w/Josh Ashcraft) vs. Omar Amir
Flo and Amir size each other up as Amir tells Flo to bring it. Amir going for a few quick roll ups, but Flo kicks out and reaches the ropes reach time. Flo with a roll up while his feet are on the ropes, but the referee spots it right away. Amir now going on the offensive. Amir hits a huge T-Bone suplex! Amir driving Flo’s face on the turnbuckle multiple times. Flo and Amir now trading chops. Flo now working on Amir in the corner as they continue to trade chops, and Amir hits another T-Bone suplex sending him outside!
