EAST LIVERPOOL â David Hudoba describes the route to his new job as pharmacy manager with the Community Action Agency of Columbiana Countyâs East Liverpool Pharmacy as a unique one.
Hudoba, a Canfield native, began in the position in October and worked to ready the new pharmacy for its opening on Jan. 19 in the Health, Behavioral Health and Dental Center, East Liverpool Campus Building 1, at 16480 St. Clair Ave.
âI interned in Mahoning County, and of course, thatâs where I grew up, so itâs been a unique path getting to this spot now,â Hudoba said, noting he had no idea his first official job would be opening a completely new pharmacy in the neighboring county to the south and working so close to his family roots. âOnce I started working with patients in the internship, I actually really loved working in this business. Itâs so rewarding to work with people who sometimes have nowhere else to go to get their prescriptions ⦠t

Ohio plans to begin vaccinating Ohioans age 80 and older beginning on Jan. 19 as it unrolls its second phase of COVID-19 vaccinations, Gov. Mike DeWine said Thursday.
The state expects only 100,000 doses of vaccine will be available each week and with up to 450,000 Ohioans age 80 and older, with DeWine cautioning it will take time to get needles in the arms of those eligible.
Each succeeding week will make another age group, such as 75 and more and then 70 and more and so on, eligible for vaccines to be administered by those among 1,700 registered providers that receive doses, DeWine said.
Vaccinations will be offered beginning the week of Feb. 1 to school teachers and employees in districts willing to commit to in-person classes for students beginning March 1, the governor said.
