Hannity host responds after House Democrat suggests lawmakers could be put on the no-fly list
Fox News host Sean Hannity came to the defense of Sens. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and Josh Hawley, R-Mo., Tuesday after House Homeland Security Committee Chair Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., suggested they could be put on the no-fly list following last week s riot on Capitol Hill.
Senate Democrats have stepped up calls for Cruz and Hawley to resign following Wednesday’s chaos at the U.S. Capitol building that left five dead, claiming that their roles in challenging the results of November’s election helped to undermine democracy.
A House Democrat claimed lawmakers in Congress led groups of people on a "reconnaissance" tour through the U.S. Capitol the day before a mob of President Trump s supporters besieged the building.

Representative Maxine Waters (D-CA) alleged on Monday that President Donald J. Trump intended to use popularity to attack âwhatever entityâ thatâs ânot agreeing with himâ and thereby continue to âruleâ past his presidency.
Waters discussed the deadly riot on Capitol Hill on MSNBCâs âThe ReidOutâ with anchor Joy Reid. âWe know that Dr. Kingâs real birthday on the 15th is coming, the official birthday on the 18th. There have been stories and news reports out there that the 17th is being targeted as another day for Trump forces to rally all over the country, that the 19th is being named, Waters said.

House Homeland Security Committee Chair Rep. Bennie Thompson has said Senators Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Josh Hawley (R-MO) could be put on the no-fly list if they re found liable for inciting the riot at the Capitol that left five people dead.
Thompson, a Democrat representing Mississippi s 2nd congressional district, told SiriusXM s
The Joe Madison Show on Monday that there would be no exception for elected officials who were found responsible for the deadly incident.
He told host Joe Madison there was no question about placing the Capitol rioters on the domestic no-fly list, though there is some debate about how quickly this could be done.
